Technology and energy are instruments of human agency. Abundance can relieve drudgery, widen knowledge, strengthen resilience, and make stewardship materially possible; it can also centralize power and erode capacities that are difficult to recover.
The right question is neither whether change can be stopped nor whether every innovation must be accepted. It is which forms of abundance preserve human judgment, reliable systems, responsible use, and a livable inheritance.

Prefer tools that augment judgment, skill, accessibility, and productive independence over systems designed chiefly for surveillance, dependency, or behavioral control.
Preserve abundant and reliable energy
Judge energy systems by reliability, affordability, safety, environmental effects, land use, supply chains, and long-run maintenance rather than a single metric.
Give future generations standing
Require long-horizon accounting for resource depletion, waste, infrastructure, fiscal exposure, institutional knowledge, and irreversible risks.
